Trik Instalasi VAIO Gate

selamat datang di post dan blog pertamaku
Kali ini aku bakal nge-share sebuah tutorial nih
Bagi yang punya laptop VAIO, pasti tau program yang namanya VAIO Gate
Interface VAIO Gate
VAIO Gate adalah program docking bar OEM dari Sony VAIO, program ini menurut saya seorang sih, tergolong unik, entah kenapa pertama kali liat langsung jatuh hati :D
hehe...
namun sayangnya, program ini cuma bisa diinstall ke laptop VAIO aja :(
Inilah popup yang keluar jika mencoba meng-install VAIO gate di laptop lain
buat kawan-kawan yang tertarik ama program ini tapi ga punya laptop VAIO, ga usah sedih :)
pasti ada "celah" untuk program ini :D
Aku sendiri Pake Laptop Toshiba L745D, ga mesti pengguna laptop VAIO aja yang bisa punya :D

perlu di ketahui, untuk paket instalasi windows berformat (.exe, .msi dkk) adalah sebuah format "self-extracting archive" sama seperti format .rar atau .zip
jadi yang kita perlukan adalah sebuah program untuk meng-extract isi dari paket instalasinya.
Program apakah itu?
yak, inilah dia UniExtract
programnya bisa di download dari website resmi program dari link diatas.
selain UniExtract, 7zip bisa dipake juga, tapi untuk percobaan kali ini aku pilih UniExtract karena metode ekstraksinya lebih banyak, sebenarnya ga masalah mau pilih program mana, yang penting fungsinya sama ;)

download paket instalasi program VAIO gate-nya, silahkan cari di sesi support & driver pastiin buat download versi terbaru dengan cara memilih tipe laptop keluaran terbaru dari VAIO

untuk kali ini, aku download dari tipe VAIO VPCCA15FG, versi VAIO gatenya 2.4.1.09230, ukurannya kisar 30mb aja :)

Program buat extract udah dapet dan terinstall
paket program VAIO Gate udah dapet
sekarang tinggal GO aja :D

untuk program UniExtract, klik kanan pada paket program VAIO gate, lalu di menu context, pilih extract here atau extract files ( extract isi paket ke folder tertentu )

sebagai percobaan, aku memilih UniExtract Here, setelah memilih menu tadi, program UniExtract akan mengenali jenis archive paket instalasi VAIO Gate, karena format dari paket VAIO Gate adalah .Msi, UniExtract akan menanyakan user akan memilih metode extract dari yang tersedia, jika pop-up dari program UniExtract keluar, pilih metode "WUN unpacker"

setelah itu, akan keluar jendela program command prompt yang menunjukkan proses ekstraksi paket sedang berlangsung, biarkan saja sampai proses selesai ;)

jika program telah selesai mengekstrak paket tadi, secara otomatis jendela command prompt akan tertutup dengan sendirinya, dan hasilnya, paket tadi beranak :D
hehe...
jika demikian, pertanda, kita udah di pertengahan jalan :D

setelah proses tadi, bakal ada 2 folder baru, yaitu "TEMP dan TEMPEXEFOLDER"
2 Folder hasil ekstraksi
masuk ke folder "TEMPEXEFOLDER" dan kawan-kawan bakal nemuin 1 paket berformat .exe, lakukan hal yang sama seperti ekstraksi paket sebelumnya, tapi untuk paket kali ini, UniExtract tidak menanya user untuk memilih metode ekstraksi,dan... TADA :D
keluarlah isi dari paket VAIO Gate :D

setelah proses tadi, kawan-kawan bisa meng-install program VAIO Gatenya seperti biasa kawan-kawan meng-install program pada umumnya :)

Catatan :
Jika setelah proses instalasi, ada diantara kawan-kawan mengalami instalasi cacat, biasanya ikon menu kategori favorit kotak hijau bertuliskan VAIO tidak muncul, bisa mengikuti langkah ini :

tutup program VAIO gate, lalu buka run, (bisa melalui start menu atau dengan menekan tombol Windows+R secara bersamaan) lalu ketik "AppData\Roaming\" tanpa tanda kutip, lalu cari folder bernama "Sony Corporation" masuk ke folder tsb dan masuk lagi ke folder VAIO Gate, disana kawan-kawan bakal nemuin beberapa file konfigurasi program berformat teks xml , cari dan hapus file yang bernama "Vaio gate" lalu start lagi program VAIO gatenya
dan secara otomatis, program VAIO gate akan membuat lagi file konfigurasi yang baru, dan, ikon kategori favorit akan muncul sebagaimana mestinya :D

n.b: Ikon Menu berwarna hijau tadi tidak bisa di remove, alias permanen, terkecuali kawan-kawan bisa mengakali file konfigurasi VAIO gate tadi ;)


Perlu Diketahui :

- Semua program yang kawan-kawan biasa install, adalah sebuah file archive layaknya file berformat archive pada umumnya .zip .rar .cab dkk

- Jika tidak di ekstrak seperti tadi, program VAIO Gate tidak akan bisa terinstall, karena sebelum program meng-ekstrak isi dari paket instalasi, program akan mengecheck informasi unit sistem yang di gunakan user, bisa dilihat dengan membuka RUN dan mengetik "dxdiag" tanpa tanda kutip

A New Day.

Monday, January 22, 2018 5.47 AM, the sky was clear, i can barely saw the hills that surrounds Nueva Vizcaya, and the sun slowly rise from behind the hills plus the voice of the birds singing, how lucky i am, my dorm window view was heading to east, i can enjoy the beautiful view of sunrise between the hills everyday. I took a bath and wear my batik dress and alma mater, of course, don't forget the DSLR. All of my dormmate already prepared and we went to the campus, Saint Mary's University. Dr. Liberty told us to meet her at pavilion on 7.00 AM.  We passed the security guard, they already know that we are there for the students exchange program, actually, everyone who wants to go inside of the campus must tap their id card to the counter so the gate can be opened, or at least show the id to the guards, it was quite strict, but we don't have to go through the security check because you know.... students exchange, what a privilege. Let The Game Begin: Week 1, Session 1-12.

January 30 - February 2, 2018 The very first day of my teaching practice, i was awake until midnight, preparing the lesson plan and the presentation material. I had four class to teach, grade 8 Masipag and Mabait class, and grade 7 Environmentalists and Earth Savers, just wow, sleep late and wake up in the early morning, i can't even think well at that time.
